The legal representatives of former National Police chief detective Comr.Gen. Susno Duadji have urged police to investigate the death of a witness in Susno’s corruption trial, Chief Brigadier Doni Rahmanto.
Doni was considered a witness whose testimonies were in Susno’s favor.
Doni reportedly died Wednesday in a motorcycle accident in East Jakarta. Doni had testified in court as a former aide of Susno.
Susno’s attorney, M. Assegaf said that although Doni had given valuable testimonies, Susno’s camp still had other witnesses to provide testimonies in support of Susno, tempointeraktif.com reported.
Doni acted as Susno’s witness in the corruption case concerning a fish farm, PT. Salmah Arowana Lestari. He was present at the trial session in November 2010.
